Turning his head and giving his ghost type a rather knowing look, Max stated, "Oh, believe me, I think I have some Pokemon who don't mind sweet foods."
Dusk instantly looked slightly shameful, rubbing the back of his head if only slightly shamefully. Yeah, he probably wouldn't have to worry about that for a while. Well, at least as long as he had Dusk, and he was sure that the ghost type wouldn't be leaving for a while, either. At least, he hoped not.
Realizing that the Chikarita had moved from his trainer's lap, Max leaned over quizzically to watch it. After a moment, he stated, "Uh, I think I might be wrong, but I think your Chikarita wants to battle."

The Deerling seemed to be enjoying the petting, however curiously pulled her head away when the Chikarita began to speak to her again.
<"B-battle?"> she stuttered. She thought for a moment. Would she battle? She hadn't battled much before, and usually only did so to defend herself and run away. But, Stunner was a nice Pokemon, and he was sure that he wouldn't hurt her. Hopefully. <"O-okay, I guess,"> she said slowly as she stepped away from the girl to face the other grass type. <"A-as long as no one gets hurt badly, though, a-alright?"> she asked.

I looked at Chikorita as it nodded it's head to Deerling. They seemed to be in a conversation. I picked Stunner up and looked at it real hard.
"Eh, to think you and Deerling were such good friends and now you want to battle." I watched as my pokemon gave a sigh of annoyance. Hmm, was there a question mark over my head? I loked up, but nothing was there. Eh, whatever. I looked at Max with a worried expression.
"Y-yeah, you're right. Okay, what were your moves again." I watched as Stunner fell on it's stomach in surprise.
"Hehe, sorry Stunner. This my first battle with you. Just nervous...don't worry." I think that might have made the Chikorita worry more. I Scratched the back of my head. I was trying to remember an attack.
"Okay Chikorita, I choose you! Use Razor leaf!" Chikorita got into stance and sent the seemingly unharmful, but razor sharp leaves flying in Deerling's direction. I didn't pay attention to iff they hit.
"Chika, Chika Chikorita!"
[/b] Chikorita sent the last one flying and I rejoiced. "Okay, now go in for a tackle!""Chika! Chik Chika Chika, Chikorita!!!" It dashed forwards.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Well the trainer and her Chikarita seemed rather egar about the battling. She hadn't really battled much before this, so she really couldn't say that she knew what to expect. She knew that some trainers were usually good at battling and everything, however, with how this trainer was acting, she was sure that she didn't know as much as the other trainer did.
The first move the Chikarita initiated as simple: a tackle. The Deerling, however, now shaking in fright, didn't really have too much time to dodge; instead being knocked backwards by the attack and making her scramble to her feet. She wobbled a bit, however managed to stay standing after a moment.
She seemed unsure at first, however managed to first growl at the Chikarita. Or, at least tried to, anyway. Next, she initiated the same attack as the Chikarita; she launched forward, aiming to tackle the other grass type.
