Dusk seemed rather happy about the berry, taking it from the girl happily and nodding his head in thanks to her. Max merely shook his head, however had a small smile on his face. Dusk was a little too happy about free things, however, again, it was better than him trying to take them without the girl noticing that he was. He was rather good at taking things sometimes, although he could use some work on sneaking and not making any noise when doing so.
"Oh, hey, if you want, I could give your Pokemon some Pokemon food in return," he said as he grabbed his bag and took it off of his shoulders. He set it on the ground before him and knelt down, and thus began rummaging through it as Dusk returned to his side, nibbling quite happily on the berry he had been given. "Ah ha!" Max said quite victoriously when he found a couple containers of Pokemon food, pulling them out as well as a couple of bowls for her Pokemon and the other Pokemon.

<"R-really?"> she managed to stutter out, and it seemed as if she got happier at what the Chikarita had said.
She was starting to like this Pokemon, and the humans hadn't done anything to bother them yet, or try and catch her, so they must be good, right? She was still a little doubtful as to weather the Chikarita was telling her the truth or not, but she would have to start trusting a little, right? Oh, she hoped that she wouldn't end up regretting this later on.
<"Um, alright, I guess I can go,"> she managed to say, weakfully taking a step forward to show that she was willing to go to the humans.

Elexi Toya I looked at him surprise. It seemed a little overboard because I had just let Dusknoir take a berry.
"Hmm, it was just a berry, but might as well. I'll save all my food for while we're traveling, kay?" I flashed a grateful smile at him.
I looked behind to see the Deerling step out into view. I looked a Chikarita with pride and my gaze shifted to the little Deerling. I smiled gently at the small deer pokemon. I turned around and cocked my head. Chikarita nodded. I looked back to Max and his pokemon with a bright chuckle.
"Stunner did it! I feel so proud!" I pushed some loose strands of hair away from my face. I was gushing with happiness and I stood up. I turned on my heels and got to my knees.
"Chika! Chikarita, Chikarita, Chika, Chik-chik, Chika!" <Let's meet my trainer, her name is Elexi! Maybe she'll give you some pokemon food too!>
I ushered Deerling forwards with some excited squeals and I ran to Elexi's lap. I nuzzled her affectionately and nodded for Deerling to come over and get to know my human.

Max smiled. Well, at least her Pokemon was good at making friends with other ones. He had done that more than a couple times with his current team, Tyranitar being the one whom he could remember as the first Pokemon he 'caught' without a battle. It was still fun to battle Pokemon, too, of course, but only if the other Pokemon wanted to. It was kind of mean to do so otherwise, right? Not like he wanted to hurt a poor Pokemon when they didn't want to battle or stuff like that.
Speaking of friends, Dusk seemed rather happy about the new Pokemon; cautiously floating up next to the trainer and happily greeting the small deer Pokemon.

The Deerling still seemed weary of the trainer, even as she followed the Chikarita up to her. The other human stayed back, lucky for her, and the Pokemon seemed friendly as well. She ducked her head as she stopped about two feet from the now crouching girl, her ears back as she watched the grass type Pokemon get onto her lap and explain happily about how her trainer was nice and might give her food. Well, the food was nice and all, and she really hadn't eaten in a while. And this girl did seem pretty nice...
<"F-food s-sounds alr-right,"> the little Pokemon stuttered out, hoping, again, that it wasn't some sort of trick or something.

Elexi Toya I smiled at my Chikarita and then at the Deerling. I watched as Stunner reached out with a front paw and tapped on the side of a food container. I looked at Deerling and then had an Idea pop into my head. Deerling liked sap, right? I opened my backpack again and pulled out a container filled with a honey like liquid. It was maple tree sap. I opened the container and grabbed a small bowl from my backpack. I mixed the sap with oran berry juice and the juice from a couple sitrus berries. I mixed it together until it looked pasty, but it still smell sweet. I put a strawberry on top.
"My mother's own remedy! It's great for wild pokemon because heals them and makes them a little stronger! It's also a great sauce on berries!" I placed the bowl in front of the fearful Deerling. Then I grabbed a dead leaf and sprinkled some pokemon food on it. I set it by the bowl.
I stepped onto the ground and off of Elexi's lap. The smell of the sweet sappy liquid was quite intoxicating. I held myself back from licking it all up.
"Chika Chika Chikarita Chik, Chika!" <You eat, I already ate. I promise it won't be bad. It's made with sap we collected yesterday evening! It's all for you." I smiled at both humans as Elexi picked up one of the small bowl Max had pored food into. She set it in front of me. I looked up at her with questioning gaze, but she nodded and I ate quickly.

Sap? Hm. The little Deerling stepped forward and sniffed at the food covered in sap, obviously still not trusting of the food. After a moment, however, the little Pokemon gave a happy sound and began munching away at the food in front of her. It took a couple minutes, however she eventually had it all eaten and the bowl nearly cleaned. She hadn't had this kind of food before! She stepped away from the bowl, albeit still a still nervous, however her little tail wagged slightly, as if thanking the human without words.
<"T-that was good,"> she said as she looked back to the Chikarita, looking a bit more happy and comfortable around the others as well.

"Wow, that Deerling seems to like the food more with the honey on it!" Max commented, although with a low voice. He didn't want to scare the Pokemon off by talking too loud, and he would have felt bad if it ran off because of him. "Did you go out and find it somewhere?" he asked, now looking to Elexi with a curios gaze.
He wasn't the one to make his Pokemon's food special or anything. They usually ate what they were given and rarely complained. They seemed to like the food he gave them. Well, at least, he assumed that they did. They always acted like they did.

Elexi Toya I looked at the deer pokemon with delight.
"Chika, Chika, Chik Chikori, Chikorita!" <See, my human knows what different pokemon like. Now, why don't you come sit with us? We want to be your friend!>
I motioned the Deerling to follow my with a movement of my head leaf. I jumped into Elexi's warm and waiting lap. She scratches right behind the seeds on my neck which I enjoyed greatly. I looked back at the Deerling with pleading eyes. I almost wanted to drag it over here because it was so resistant.
I laughed as Chikorita came and jumped into my lap. I looked up Dusknoir who seemed to want to join in on meeting Deerling. I looked at Max.
"Yeah, I go of the paths and into the forest and Stunner sniffs out the sap and honey hives. I collected the bowl on the ground and put it beside my bag. I'd have to scrub the bowl later.
"Don't scare the little thing away, okay Dusknoir?" I laughed lightly at the ghost pokemon and picked Stunner up. I threw it up in the air and caught it. The Chikorita squealed with happiness.

<"F-friends?"> the little Pokemon managed to stutter out.
She hadn't had very many friends since she was born; mostly they were those from her herd and a few other Pokemon she and her herd had ran into. They rarely stayed friends for long, though, since their herd was usually always moving and they barely got to see the other Pokemon again. Friends sounded very nice, and this girl was very nice, as well as her Chikarita. Maybe it would be alright.
The little Deerling shuffled up to the girl without a word, her head dipped sheepishly and in a frightened manner, stopping and sitting in front of her, as if showing she would be alright if petted.

"Really?" he asked quizzically. "Well, hey, maybe you could teach me how to do it sometime! It's love to learn."
It would be nice to learn how to do it, since he really never had any good food for his Pokemon. Since the little Deerling seemed to like it, he knew that maybe his Pokemon would enjoy it as well. But then again, some of them, like Dusk, simply liked any kind of food, and instantly liked just about anyone and everyone who gave him food, a trait Max didn't find too appealing sometimes.
When the girl said not to scare the Deerling away, Dusk nodded; why would he want to do that? It wasn't being mean or anything, and it was actually kind of nice. He didn't get to see very many wild Pokemon, considering Max battled against trainers anymore, and they usually went straight to towns with the help of Draco instead of traveling through routes like this. It was kind of nice, really.

Elexi Toya I stroked the Deerling's head and looked over my shoulder towards Max. I thought for a moment, deciding whether or not to teach him how decipher pokemon food needs or not. It might be hard though considering he probably didn't grow up with a mother as a breeder. "Yeah, I guess I can. I can probably teach you how with Chikorita. If you have any grass or a dragon type that would work as well. To get the right food though, you need to know what kind of flavor your pokemon likes. As in sweet, spicy, sour, and all that stuff. A pokemon's nature also plays a role in it. I know for a fact that Ninetails like spicy foods as reference to a childhood Ninetails owned by a town doctor. If you find and Aspear berry, try letting Ninetails taste it. They cure freeze which gives it a spicier taste." I turned back to the Deerling who i had been petting all the way through my speech. The deer pokemon was very soft and cute.

The Deerling seemed rather happy about being petted; pushing up into the girl's hand as she pet her. This girl wasn't so bad, and neither were the other Pokemon, or the other human, either. They seemed alright. She had nothing to worry about, it seemed, and she slowly relaxed around the group, although one ear stayed perked in case of danger. She didn't want anything to happen while she was so relaxed like this, and, with her luck, something would happen if she got too relaxed or something like that. She couldn't say she fulled trusted these people and Pokemon, but she was kind of getting there. Kind of.

"That sounds good to me," Max smiled, Ninetails twitching her tail in a sort of wag at her trainer's enthusiasm fort this. "And I'm sure that my Pokemon would love to help, but I would have to find some berries first."
He wasn't the one to go out and find berries for his Pokemon, although sometimes his Pokemon gave him some, or he got some from the little orchid that he had back on his little farm. Not too many grew there, though, since it was normally the Pokemon who normally took care of it, and not him. Sure, he watered them when needed, but he didn't help them much else to grow.

Elexi Toya I jumped away from Elexi and tapped Deerling on the flank.
<Um, well, I want to battle with you. Elexi and I battle wild pokemon, but a lot of them beat me. So, I want to have a friend battle with you. It's okay with me if you say no.> I looked down, nervous the deer pokemon might take it the wrong way, maybe as a threat. Then I'd loose my new friend.
I looked over too Max again. He was talking about finding berries or something.
"Well, as long as one of your pokemon has a nose for sweets," I don't know why, but I shifted my gaze to Dusknoir for a while. I turned back, "you'll be fine." I scratched Deerling underneath the chin and ears. The little pokemon seemed to enjoy having my affection given to it.
