Alice.Corin.Hope
You just need to start again from the beginning.
JUST THE BASICS full.name; Alice Corin Hope nicknames; Al, Ali age; 18 birthday; April 1st i.like.you Bisexual going.home; Ascorbia Island, Orange Archipelago i.moved; London, ‘Earth’ i.make.a.name.by; Performing arts student at an academy
DON'T JUDGE ME a.wonderful.picture. Alice is only 4”9, with a petite stature. She lacks much of a chest, something which upsets her greatly, and although her behind is a big enough asset enough, she insists on wearing flattering tops and lingerie to maintain an illusion. Her skin is a pasty white, suggesting she goes outdoors very rarely, and despite her place of birth, the sun burns and rarely tans her fair skin. Her dark blue eyes are nearly always behind thinned down glasses lenses due to her naturally bad sight, and the young woman prefers her blonde hair long, usually maintained in a loose, messy style – although fashion states it can be done all sorts of ways. Her nails are usually always manicured and painted, and whilst her fingers are long, they are very thin and both her hands and feet quite small. Her teeth aren’t straight, but overcrowded.
EVERYTHING'S INSIDE i.really.like; Singing, swimming, the gym, reading, TV, being a pervert, joking around, partying, meat and milk, money, being spoiled and pampered but.i.don't.like; Most fish, running, fire, storms, camping, having to go at any pace but her own, mornings, working i.rock.at; Alice is intelligent academic-wise, and also a good leader, with people tending to follow her without having to ask. She is spoiled and loves to receive, but also loves to dote on those that she loves and help others. She’s ambitious and hardened to bullying, but willing to accept criticism and brutal honesty if it is constructive and for a good reason. If she does something wrong, in the end, she will always own up to it, knowing it is for her own good. She is also capable of running on little sleep if she must and toughing things out, able to act as the devil’s advocate and as a mediator in times of group crisis. but.i.can't.seem.to; As above, she is intelligent, but ‘intelligent blonde’ might be more accurate. If something is complex, Alice can probably do it, but if it’s a simple task, expect her to royally screw it up. She can’t run fast and physically isn’t that strong. She can lift big weights at the gym but couldn’t handle a fight on her own. She is scared of lots of things and in terms of patience, that really depends on the day. She is spoiled, and can be ruthless to get whatever it is she wants, sometimes without regards to others, and despite being hardened to bullying now, she’s the type who will suck it up for a long while and have a mighty breakdown later. Secretly, she is sensitive and underconfident. Alice is also not at all athletic – her running resembles a panicking Piplup and she’s just not aggressive enough for most competitive sports. i'm.afraid.of; Alice is afraid of almost everything: fire, drowning, natural disasters, storms, extraterrestrial; When Alice runs, she runs like a panicked Piplup, and therefore refuses to most of the time. She could easily sleep all day. A distinguishing habit when holding things is that her pinky finger will usually stick out, and when eating, she will eat in order o preference with her least liked food first. Among those she is comfortable with she will happily just strip in front of them or try to coerce them into a shower or bath jokingly, or try to play cuddly or kissing games with them. if.you.wanna.roll.with.me; In terms of what Alice likes in a person, if that person isn’t very smart, she will be easily frustrated with them, and this is the same if they are overly awkward or negative all of the time. She is willing to give many chances with wrongdoings, but only if they apologise sincerely. If not, they will be struck out and she will hold a grudge. Romantically, Alice is inexperienced, but she likes the other half to make the first move, and for them to be taller and older than her. Beyond that, she isn’t really sure what she wants lookwise, only that they must be smart and have a good sense of humour. nothing.will.happen.; Alice hates bullies, full stop, having had to deal with them for so long. Stupidity and dishonesty are also traits she can’t stand, and people who are too negative. If a person contributes nothing to a friendship or project, making no effort, this will also irritate her. everyone's.got.secrets; In her teenage years, Alice spent a lot of time in therapy from the age of twelve, and almost killed herself three years before her journey in the Pokemon world began. Feeling like she didn’t belong, unsure of her own history and plagued by bullying and a stressful home life, everything became too much. A close friend called and persuaded her out of it before she could exact her plan, and even though she had a fear of fire, a pyromaniac acquaintance of her agreed to make a fire in his garden to burn all of her unneeded letters in as a signal of a fresh start. River.of.dreams; Alice has spent most of her time feeling lost and unsure of herself. In her childhood in her real home, she had always wanted to become a top trainer with powerful Pokemon. However, on the other side, this didn’t really change – only she thought Pokemon were not real, and so she couldn’t ever fulfil this. Instead, in the end, she decided that she wanted to become a singer or an actress – maybe even both, like an idol – or even just famous. She had always wanted to be famous and had always wanted money, that had been clear even from childhood, but taking the way in through silly talent or bad reality shows were never the answer, so she took the performing arts study route instead. my.real.self;
Alice has what one could call ‘princess syndrome’. She is a stickler for manners, and follows them at all times, but is also quite the spoiled brat. She is vain, materialistic, and can go to crazed lengths to get whatever she wants. When she’s upset, she tends to hide herself away, sometimes for petty reasons, and can be jealous of other’s relationships or possessions. As it is, years of bullying and wondering if she’s absolutely mental has shaped her to be kind and sympathetic to others, and with her intelligence, she makes both a great leader and follower – if others can get a word in edgewise. Surprisingly, she’s a positive person at her roots, and easily hides her esteem and other issues behind her procrastinating, chattering and random bursts of hyperactivity. As it is, it takes a lot to unleash her temper, and more often than not, Alice suffers ‘seond-hand rage’: if someone she cares about is done wrongly, the girl will kick up a mighty fight for them. In terms of herself, if it can’t be settled amicably or with wittily caused embarrassment on the other side (or something that involves her getting money or a lot of positive attention), she will let it go. Unless Alice really wants something or wants to do something, her laziness will dominate, and she will sleep or eat or do whatever she wishes, the wants of other parties being damned. But it must be noted that when others really need her, she will be there for them as best she can, and even if they don’t, she tries to be polite, kind and cause as little unnecessary drama as possible – it’s just that chances are, she’ll be secretly unhappy if things aren’t going her way.
Alice lives with her head in the clouds a lot of the time, and this interferes with her romantic notions as well. She has had no relationship to speak of, and so can be shy or underconfident when genuinely approached. But she’s a cynic and has a realistic point of view, also, and the ‘corruption’ within society has done its influence. Unexpectedly, she is perverse, and when among friends is happy to flirt hard, talk dirty, cuddle up, steal kisses and all the rest. She has a dry sense of humour, and if a partner could unlock that, they’d find their innocent princess isn’t quite so innocent after all... With the right teacher, of course.
WHERE I COME FROM dear.mom; Kyna Hope and.you.know.that.i.love.her; A co-ordinator from Fortree City in Hoenn, she had a love for Numels and Camerupts, and therefore started with the former. She had always been popular at school for her youthful but glamorous image, having gone onto university before she started her journey. After the birth of Alice, she took on a job at a trainer’s academy in the contests department. dear.daddy; Radley Hope and.he's.a.great.man; Radley was another that took on a full education, although he travelled for one year around all the regions, using a trusty map rather than all the technology that was about. He hailed from a rich family in Saffron City, and having grown up with a love of trains and cars, became an engineer. He met Kyna when she was passing through, heading to Celadon City for shopping, and they hit it off right away. Her pregnancy was an accident, but a wanted one, and they decided together that the tropical paradise of the Orange Archipelago was the best place for that. He still works in engineering, sometimes travelling to other regions for big projects and meetings. my.only.prologue;
Born to the young couple of just over a year, Alice was a difficult baby. She wouldn’t eat and wouldn’t sleep, and was incredibly small. However, she learned in leaps and bounds, walking before she could crawl and making so much noise it wasn’t surprising that she learned to talk fast as well, helped by a love of reading. She liked painting with her father’s Smeargle, though art was never something she particularly grew into, and her mother’s profession combined to their natural home area meant she was accustomed to Pokemon quickly (except her mother’s Camerupt and several of her father’s team which scared her).
As soon as she could start, she was enrolled in play school and then straight into an academy on the Archipelago, where she excelled with pushing from her parents. Both wanted their daughter to excel at whatever she did, and though Alice was free to decide what she wanted from life, they hoped for university for her as well. At this time, when taking walks through the forests of Ascorbia Island, the child met a Slowpoke who lived by a river and sometimes wandered by the coast. She felt an attachment to the dopy creature right away. A lot of her classmates picked on her, and one of the names they would use was ‘Slowpoke’. She would make poffin and pokeblock with her mother, and sometimes with other treats, come back to feed the Slowpoke. At times when she was upset, she would go alone to find it and sit with him, telling him all of her worries and feelings. Sometimes, he wouldn’t respond, but other times he would comfort her and play together.
After one such instance when she went to make her way home, a few months after her ninth birthday, she didn’t make it. Instead she woke up in a hospital in a completely different world after being found by civilians passed out on a walking trail into a British town. She woke up unable to recall everything about herself accurately, but after describing about her home she was considered delusional – Pokemon weren’t real. However, the two people who found her couldn’t have children, and also felt concerned for her. Alice spent some time in a children’s home, but also with them, during months that adoption went through. Alice was put through therapy and diagnosed with retrograde amnesia, and doctors grappled with many inaccurate diagnosis’ over the years as well. In the end, Alice accepted that she was delusional, but not without a feeling that she did not belong, and doubts about herself and others.
In that time, she went to public school before moving onto a private secondary again. She took up ballet and carried on swimming, and liked walking and taking care of dogs and other animals at nearby pet shops and shelters. Her new parents were both busy, one a doctor and the other a manager of a casino, but they filled the emptiness of absence with material gifts. She became ever more spoiled, but it was what she used to fill the emptiness. Where other children and teenagers picked up habits like smoking, drinking and even sleeping around, she just wanted more things, like books and video games. She joined a theatre and took singing lessons, too – acting and pretending she was someone else, immersing herself in the illusion of stories. All were unsurprising hobbies and considered detrimental to her care, but as she pretended to recover, she was allowed to do as she wished. When her parents were away during the years she couldn’t take care of herself, sleepovers at the school dorms or staying round the homes of friends were commonplace. They all had their issues, the ‘unpopular crowd’, but banded together and got through it.
By university age, she had got to grips and decided to start over. The drama crowds were creative and eccentric just like herself, and also always busy, so there wasn’t much time or need for too much trouble there. Alice felt at home out of home in her own small apartment just outside of London, with her parents paying most of the bills and a loan to help with the rest. She took small jobs sometimes, but overall didn’t work a real day in her life. Besides her ‘crazy’ she had it easy.
Until one day she woke up on an island with a Slowpoke nearby, and the girl began wondering if she was so crazy after all...
MY POKEMON my.best.friend; Slowpoke Ability; Regenerator Level; 15 Moves; Confusion, Water Gun, Stomp, Signal Beam Misc; Slowpoke lived on Ascorbia Island by the river, and had known Alice for years. She often came and visited him, and while he sometimes couldn’t bring himself to respond – that sometimes happened to his species: forgetfulness, slow reactions, etc – he didn’t feel threatened and in fact looked forward to their meetings. When she was upset, even though he didn’t understand everything, he felt sad, too, and like her, looked forward to the day she could start an adventure and leave all the sadness behind – maybe even with him. When she disappeared and never came back, he went looking for her, even finding her house. Some even accused the Slowpoke of having something to do with it, and he was forced to slowly make disappear himself. When she somehow returned, he sensed the psychic disturbance – the same one he felt years before – and made his way back to her. In terms of personality, he is very jolly and loving, and almost always calm. When Alice was young, he felt like the one taking care of her and whilst to some extent he still does, she has become a woman, and now more independent and capable.
TAKE A BOW hi.i.am; Alice and.i.am; 19 contact.me.via; PM, Nishwishes/Skype, AIM/usagishirayuki, MSN/Email: pinku_rin_chan@hotmail.oo.uk let.me.show.you.my.skills; Gene Hunt hated many things in life. He hated women in positions of power when they weren't on top of him, he hated having his Quattro in the garage, and he hated failing at his job. Unfortunately, unforseen circumstances meant that he had to put up with all three.
He didn't mind Alexandra Drake, that much he would confess on a good day. Her abilities brought a lot of help to the force, and balanced out his own, ruthless madness. He would rarely say it to her, and he would never say the three words that a normal, less brutish man such as Ray or Chris might have done by now. It just felt too poofy, even when they might have been facing their deaths - they were, after all, handcuffed to heavy furniture in his daughter's bedroom.
That was something new. He had a child. The DCI'd had scares before, of course, but no solid proof or evidence like what Alex had discovered at her desk two days ago. The thought had him glancing around, observing the cage they'd had Holly drugged up in for countless years. Or maybe 'they' wasn't accurate - maybe 'it' was better. Charles Cooper was a monster, and the way his eyes had skimmed over the lady next to him before he left only filled him with more rage.
"You alright there, Bolly?" The blonde finally managed break the silence, albeit gruffly. Sun filtered in through closed curtains, hiding any view of what might have been coming: for them, or for Charles. "I'll get us out of here, mark my words. A stupid bastard like that never does the job properly."
Or so he hoped. Their stupid bastard was a private practise doctor on top of a psychotic criminal. Even Gene knew that, for a while, they were complete and utterly /fucked/.
