True Beauty
Comes From Within
"I'll take that as a yes."
The moon hung high and full in the night sky. Of course, you couldn't really tell that except through the occasionally cracks in the ceiling of the cave. This cave was deep inside Mt. Moon. It was surprisingly warm, but probably was due to lack of snow inside and cold air flow. The only noise was the occasional Zubat cry and the thumping of heavy boots against the ground.
"Well, this is pretty." Giovanni chuckled as he held Tricky in one arm and a lantern in the other. What are these two doing in a cave in the middle of the night? you might ask. Giovanni had been reading a magazine before one of his photo shoots and had seen an article on the pokémon that appeared around Mt. Moon. After reading about the pink pokémon known as Clefairy, he knew he had to have one for his own.
So, that is why our hero is where he currently is. "Zu!" Tricky chimed in. The lantern light danced off the cave walls creating elegant shadows that seemed to dance in the light. It really was a sight to behold. "Okay now Tricky, are you ready to find a new Clefairy friend to bring along on our journey?" Giovanni smiled as the little Zorua yipped and hopped out of his arms. "I'll take that as a yes."
The Zorua snuffled about the ground trying to find something. Giovanni wasn't sure what, seeing as how he knew that Tricky had never met (let alone smelled) a Clefairy before. None the less, Giovanni let his playful companion search about the ground. He cast a wary eye towards the ceiling.
The magazine had also spoken of the abundance of Zubat that were known to attack careless trainers. Giovanni kept his lantern low so as to watch where he walked and also to keep Tricky in his sight. Oh well, he thought to himself Even if we do run into some Zubat, Tricky could use some training anyways. He's only gotten to spar with Spirit and Begy and that could only get him so far. Giovanni had a slight worried look as he followed the little dark pokémon deeper into the cave. I just hope I'm not throwing him in over his head...
