She was in a generally happier mood, glad to have her old friend in her life for a while, not just in letters. That particular day, she had gotten up early (which was a surprise), taken a shower, and gotten dressed into her favorite bow-themed dress without a hitch and before Noah could wake up. There were a few close calls of Axew stomping up and down the hall anxiously for his new friend to wake up, but Brittani would pick him up and scold him quietly.
Breakfast wasn't going to be a hearty eggs and bacon, that Brittani knew. She was horrid at cooking, and she would burn it all, which probably wouldn't go over well. So she put out a small plate of cookies she had made the day previous and some glasses for milk. She was good at baking, just not cooking. Baking was a science, cooking was an art. She generally didn't have anything fancy for breakfast, but she had baked some muffins that day as well, which were sitting, wrapped to preserve them, on the small dining room table as well. She went on her sprees of baking, making who knew what, and then she went a few weeks without making anything at all. She had some weird patterns to her, that was for sure. And it took her all that time to slowly eat what she had created anyway. Even if she gave most of it to her fellow members of the Elite and a few bits to her Pokemon anyway.
As Brittani sat down in one of the comfy chairs in the living room, she saw a green hand reach out slowly over the table. She stood back up, reaching for Axew, who had a cookie just out of his grasp. "Axew!" She scolded, no longer thinking that the situation was funny. "Stop it!" With a new determination, she carried the wriggling pokemon in her arms as she walked back to her chair. She sat down, pinning him next to her without hurting him. "I've had it. Now stay. here." She was the kind of person who, when angry, was the quiet yeller.
If one were to walk in at that moment, they would see the two fighting silently, wiggling around, only the crinkle of the fabric audible. What a pair. WORD COUNT. ▷ 405 words. WHO'S NEXT. ▷ Goro/Noem or Ella/Noah. Whoever responds first, I guess. xD (And Noem, I was thinking Goro might show up asking about the whole breeding thing, thinking she had forgotten, and not realizing that Noah was still there. But it's just a thought.) NOTES. ▷ ... | [atrb=style, color: 3e2e31; border-top: 3px solid #a08f87] All the words are gonna bleed from me and I will think no more | |

I slid down the railing on the stairs. I wore Orange and blue soccer shorts with a white tank top. My pink hair was fluffed out and weird. I jumped down with Eve who had chosen to take the stairs. I walked down the hallway with a big yawn.
"Morning Betty Crocker. We won't get any nutrition from a cookie breakfast. I opened the fridge with a smile. I pulled out four eggs and a pack of bacon.
"Don't take it the wrong way though, I'll eat your homemade cookies any day." I grabbed a pan and some nonstick oil. I cracked the eggs into a bowl and mixed them with milk and salt. I blended the eggs together until it was a solid pale yellow color. I poured them on the pan and let them sizzle before scrambling them with a fork. After a few more minutes I took the scrambled eggs from the pan and divided two even portion for Brittani and I. I put six strips of bacon in the pan and waited a while for them to cook before putting three on my plate and three on Brittani's plate.
"Order up! Chef La'Noah has made a Master Piece along with the help the magnificent cookies made by Chef De'Britt!" I put on of the plates in front of her and one and where i was going to sit. I grabbed a cookie and munched on it greedily. I licked away the crumbs on my lips and started on my eggs. I took a sip of milk and looked at Brittani.
"I'm the one staying here, so I should at least make you a good breakfast because I know you can't make a good one for yourself, right?" I chuckled and patted her on the head with my free hand.

It was the early morning, the sun had been rising for quite some time but it wasn't close to noon yet. Most people would be eating breakfast but on the Ryker farm they had eaten hours ago and were moving things around inside the barn. Goro was trying to spice the place up a little bit before Brittani came over to breed her Pokemon. He didn't want the Elite to think that he lived in a dump, which was the truth. Still, someone of such a class shouldn't know exactly how poor the man she was breeding for was. Speaking of breeding... It gad been about a week since he had last spoken to the woman. Was she still coming? He wanted to go over to her house again in case she had forgotten, but the question was, was she even in the town or did she go back to the Elites and forget about him?
Leaning against a post in the old barn, the man looked at Seda. She was casually sitting on a pile of sacks that he had just stacked. The Wurmple looked so content as she stared at him. "What should I do?" he asked her, crossing his arms and waiting for an answer. She didn't really give much of an answer but instead just stared right back at him. He nodded. "I see." He looked around and saw Ryker silently napping on top of a beam above his head. He nodded again. It looked like he was going to be walking solo for a while. Whenever the male Wurmple fell asleep on top of a rafter he wouldn't come down for hours no matter what. You could have the best gourmet food lying out and he would refuse to even move an inch. It didn't matter. The small expedition to see if Brittani was still in town didn't need a Wurmple tagging along.
Goro walked back to the house, his shoes crunching the grass beneath his feet. He wasn't sure what he was heading back to the house for, it wasn't like he needed anything. He was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. He had shoes on and his fingerless gloves. He felt perfectly fine without his jacket and it wasn't like he was locking away his Pokemon, they were both in the barn. He sighed and stopped three fourths of the way to his house. He started to head back to the bran to go straight to Brittani's house when he realized it was too far of a walk. Sighing he shook his head and spun around to face the short wall that blocked off the boundaries of his farm. He ran towards the wall and hopped over it rather easily before he was jogging down the road to the always empty house. For once he hoped it wasn't empty. He slowed down to a walk when he came close to it. He didn't want to seem creepy, just know if the Elite was still in town or not.
He stopped in the middle of the road and stared at the house. He couldn't tell if someone was home or not. It didn't look like anyone was but then again, looks could be deceiving. He sighed and ran both hands through his pale green hair, internally screaming. He couldn't decide what to do. He didn't want the Elite to think he was obsessive and fangirling her... But he didn't know what else to do. He needed some new Pokemon and the Elite just seemed so kind and friendly. A bonus was that she was away often so if they did become actual "friends" then Goro could deal with that. He let out a sigh and paced back and forth for a moment. He had to do something. He finally let go of his hair and started walking towards her porch. Oh that fateful porch. The porch that set his life into a whirlpool of everything. A whirlpool that happened to be sucking other people in, unknowingly to him.
It wasn't long before the breeder was on the porch. He took a deep breath, lifting his arm, preparing to knock. He let out a sigh. He was making a mistake. He closed his eyes as he stood there for a moment. He would play the mistake game while he was at Brittani's house. He would instantly lose if she wasn't home. Ten points against him and he would lose and leave. Points would be determined after the deed had been done. Little did he know, but Goro was going to go far beyond the limit of ten points against him. His knuckles touched the wood once, twice, three times, before he lowered his arm and his gaze. Lose or win? Those were his options.

Had they woken him? Brit hoped not. His hair was a bit fluffy and clearly ungelled, making Axew laugh a bit rudely. His trainer gave him a glare, shutting him up. He knew he had pushed the boundaries way too far today, but it was just way too fun.
"I made muffins too." Brittani pouted playfully, standing up, leaving Axew to scurry into the kitchen ahead of her. She trembled her lip, not matching the playful glint in her eye. She wouldn't reject a home-cooked hearty breakfast if she could get one.
Brittani sat down at the table, watching him cook, and feeling a little useless. At least she was keeping Axew out of his hair, she supposed. The dragon was currently in her lap, struggling to get free, but she wouldn't let him. She didn't trust the Pokemon near the stove, especially when it was in use.
Brittani smiled as Noah served the both of them. "Bon appetit!" She cheered happily, glad to have a big breakfast for a change. She started to eat and kept an eye on Axew sitting by the window at the same time. He was quiet, which worried her.
"If you insist on it," She teased, "I mean, I know you just love the way I scavenge every morning." It had been a constant mock fight when they were traveling together. Brittani had always wanted to eat a small breakfast, a slice of bread or something similar, while Noah would want a full, healthy breakfast. Maybe that's why Brittani was so little.
The sound of someone knocking on the door interrupted Brittani's thoughts. She had no idea who it could be. People stayed clear of her house, normally. Sure, they would approach her on the street, but they never tried to come to her house.
She stood up, Axew already charging towards the door. "Sorry," She muttered before calling a bit too loudly, "Coming!"
Brittani turned the knob of the door, eyes blinking slowly as she realized who it was. "Oh! Goro! Hi." She smiled. She still hadn't headed over to his farm with her Pokemon. She knew she had promised, but she had been cleaning and spending time with Noah since he didn't come around too often. She felt Butterfrees in her stomach and bit her lip. Why was this happening? Over that week, she had seen him in town but had merely waved, and she didn't even think that he had seen her in the first place. But whenever she saw him, those stupid Butterfrees were flying around in there. What was her problem? She mentally reminded herself that maybe later she would talk to Noah about it. She could trust him, and he would go back to Hoenn after a while anyway, and wouldn't see her and Goro for a while. But she didn't want to think about that. "Come on in."
Brittani started to lead the man into her house, and called to her friend as she approached, "Noah, Goro's here. Y'know, my neighbor. So be nice." She gave him a he's-the-one-I-told-you-about-and-he's-kinda-cute-so-don't-screw-this-up-but-no-pressure kind of look. And she hoped he would understand. WORD COUNT. ▷ 545 words.
