She had stayed in Sinnoh most of the time, the occasional stops in the Orange Islands to visit Khloe, and especially Hoenn to visit Alyssa and Noah. So she had decided that she would finally check out Kanto and see what it was like.
A brisk wind made Dragonite shake slightly as she soared through the skies, and it worried Brittani. Was it too cold for her prized pokemon? She hoped not. She patted Dragonite's neck appreciatively, and looked down at the city below them. "Ok, you can land there. We don't have to go too that far."
Grunting in response, Dragonite made a steep descent into the edge of the city.A little thump could be heard as she touched ground, and bent so Brittani could get off."Thanks, Dragonite! She returned the pokemon to her pokeball. It would just be asking for attention, which she most certainly did not want.
Brittani looked around at the city for a second, taking it all in. It seemed just like a normal city, calmer than Jubilife, that was for sure. She had never really seen a city quite like it, with the flashing lights and loud people. But she was a country girl, through and through, as much as the city intrigued her. WORD COUNT. ▷ 223 words. He wasn't much of a fan of traveling around too much unless it was for a job or he was looking for something specific that he could catch or get. But, due to the need to look for more Pokemon to train, he was nearly forced to make more trips around the region so that he could find more Pokemon and trainers to battle. And, who knew, he could find a trainer with a rare Pokemon and take it from them when they weren't looking. So, really, it was kind of a win-win situation for he and Spite. If they found anything, that is. Their luck was known to be dry, since Spite wasn't very strong and Alex didn't have any more Pokemon on him. He'd need to go and try to catch some more that appeased him, really, before he tried anything close to battling stronger opponents and thus stealing their Pokemon in the process. For now, they would stick to searching and the likes, even though the job itself was quite boring.
They were currently looking around Viridian City, in the hopes of finding Pokemon to make Spite stronger. The deal wasn't going too well, since there didn't seem too many Pokemon to begin with in the area. Maybe someone had chased them all off or something? That sounded plausible, since trainers who made too much noise or battled a lot of Pokemon in the area could easily scare some of the wild Pokemon off or into hiding for a while until they left or the Pokemon thought it was safe. This was an unlucky feat for them, of course, since it made it harder for them to find wild Pokemon to battle, and it only made Alex infuriated by the fact that they couldn't find any Pokemon to battle. Maybe they would find a weak trainer to beat up That sounded like a rather good plan, actually.
"Hound Hound Grr!" came the rather annoyed growl of Spite, making Alex jump out of his rather annoyed state.
He came back into the real world just in time to see a shadow fly over them, and he looked up to see that a Pokemon - as well as something on it's back, maybe a human? - land on the other side of some trees. Alex and Spite both paused and looked at each other rather quizzically, before Alex shrugged. Might as well go and see what it was, right? Alex lead the way, trotting towards the tree line to try and see what had landed while being sneaky about it. It had looked like a rare Pokemon, however he could have been wrong.
Emphasis on the could have.

She stepped out of the cover of the trees, and started to blend in with the people walking around. She had thought that she had heard a rustle behind her, but she shrugged it off. It was her own general untrustingness, she realized. She was spooked by every little thing, and she needed to loosen up.
She laughed. Like that would actually happen.
The city was a bit overwhelming at first, because she had grown used to her solitary lifestyle most of the time, so she stayed near the edges of the city, wandering. But soon enough, a young boy, maybe eleven, walked up to her with a Charmander following behind him. Brittani knew what was coming.
"Excuse me? Miss Derosier? Could you... Uh, sign this for me?" He showed her an autograph book with a pen, indicating where she should sign. Brittani smiled. "Why of course I will." It was a little sugary, and a lot fake, but it would work. The kid wouldn't notice. She signed it with a flourish, about to walk away. Half the kids never even said thank you anyway.
"Thanks! I mean, you're my favorite of the Elite Four!" He called a little too loudly. "I wanna be a dragon master, just like you! Charmander will be a Charizard one day, you watch!" He grinned, not realizing what he had done. Three people were coming towards her at a time, wanting pictures and autographs. Brittani moaned before plastering her smile back on. Fabulous. Just how she wanted to spend her day. WORD COUNT. ▷ 269 words.
