HOMETOWN: slateport city | hoenn TYPE OF CHOICE: steel-type OOC NAME:: Resonate!
APPEARANCE:[/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8]Seductive is definitely a good word to describe Alyssa's overall appearance, having designed herself to induce attraction in both males and females. Everything to do with how she looks is important to her, wearing clothes that are more stylish and colorful, which in turn doesn't lend itself well to stealth tactics. Then again, who needs stealth when you can set things on fire, right? Due to her rather tall stature for a female, she is very noticeable in a crowd, much to her evident enjoyment, being the centre of attention, though that could be attributed to her various other 'attributes' also. Her manner of speaking is incredibly alluring and suggestive, a rather rich tone and drawn out syllables in addition to her uh... 'feisty' nature.
Her features very hold an allusive charm to them, with perfectly smooth pale skin on a slender and curvaceous build with incredibly large breasts, the subject of many jealousies and admiration. Her eyes are colored a deep sea blue with a bright twinkle in it's depths, the twinkle of a youthful feeling, joy. Her usual expression is fixed into one of passive bliss, ignorant of all the troubles around her, in her own little peaceful world, which somehow adds to her beauty it seems. Her hair is a measure of her vain pride, being smooth silk to the touch and colored with the illustrious beauty of the sun, bright blonde locks flowing like a golden waterfall. Her hair style has changed numerous times during her many years, starting during her younger years, at which time it was styled in a rather short bob framed around her face loosely. As she grew, she changed it to a more preened style. And now, Alyssa's hair style is very much a flowing fall of water-like hair, falling lightly around her face and shoulders, which bounces around as if it were nothing but fluffy wool.
And now we move onto her apparel, most likely the largest part of her style. You see, to her, clothes are a medium for expression, and as such Alyssa wears rather bright and revealing clothing. For example, her most common outfit is a white low cut v-neck hoodie with pink frills at all the edges and a tight-fitting seam. Over this, a thick yet light black leather jacket with padding on the shoulders to circumvent damage to the neck, giving it a more stable platform.
Her lower half is actually rather bare honestly, with a very short pleated black skirt. On her feet is where the color starts to get rather ridiculous, with bright, almost fluorescent pink socks with a loose plastic-like section at the top which entirely covers her ankle and a pair of rather dangerously high heels.
Of course, when you have visitors to your household, you are expected to wear something a little more appropriate. Alyssa has something like that, however she often doesn't use it in this manner, instead it similar to a dressing gown, due to it's ability to be easily put on. The outfit itself consists of a light white undergarment , with a black kimono [kosode and hakama] over the top, secured with a white sash tied in a bow and a silk pink boa around the shoulders and neck. As such, it is usually worn with a pair of white socks and straw sandals and, due to Alyssa's alluring nature, she usually has the kosode open slightly, revealing a large portion of her breasts.
Something Alyssa is definitely known for is accessories. Whether that pertains to makeup, bags, jewelry, hair pins, you name it, she's most likely got a collection for it. Her sense of fashion is completely unparalleled in all of Hoenn, knowing what certain little thing goes with each other certain little thing. I suppose it's a benefit of vanity. As for makeup, she usually has copious amount of eyeliner and eye shadow on at any one time, however they are usually of a color that blends well with her skin tone, so as to not look too overbearing. However, when she unlocks that party animal side of her, that's when you see the big guns plastered on her face. Most of the time, her lips are colored a pale glossy pink which again blends well with her skin tone.[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]PERSONALITY[/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8]Well well, what can we say about little Alyssa? Probably the most prominent feature of her personality is her desire to simply sleep the days away. At first it was brought about by her affliction, which slowly turned into laziness and now into sloth as the problem got progressively worse. As such she spends most of her day using her Aggron as her own personal portable bed, which Aggron is somehow fine with. There she does naught but sleep and think, usually about trivial matters and such, though her thoughts can be described as quite intelligent at times.
Her actual behavior shows no sign of this innate ability to think, rather it shows a spoiled little daddy's girl that never had to work hard for what she has. Even with her ability to think an act with a reasonably high IQ, she struggles to keep her emotions in check, usually in the form of anger and frustration, trying to keep people out and away from her in her time of solace. As such she can come across as very rude, insensitive and sometimes even downright offensive. What people fail to realize is that it's really not her speaking said obscenities but rather all of the fury and annoyance eating away inside her, literally. However, she does have a rather likable side to her as well and as such she decides to classify herself as a tsundere, though not quite a viscous one.
To describe her likable side first we have to delve into a little game she's been playing with a few of her friends, that she likes to call Chick Pick-up. The game is essentially exactly what it says on the tin, whoever can get the most numbers every week wins a free night of drinks, paid by the losers. Now you may be thinking, 'Isn't Alyssa a girl? Why is she picking up girl's numbers?', well, if you're thinking that you probably haven't seen the sexuality part of her profile. With no complications or strings attached, Alyssa is and always will be a lesbian, having been that way since birth and the fact that she had two mothers probably didn't help matters. As such, she finds it a little difficult to actually find love in anyone, but feels a special bond between each girl she talks with, most likely because of a certain part of her persona.
Y'see, Alyssa's greatest strength is really her charisma, able to weasel her way out of anything and everything with a couple of sweet words and a sob story, which lends itself to a job as an actress. She declines any offer she receives however, having now followed her dream to the very end, she didn't want twenty-four years of her life go to shame. This is the likable element to her, just how confident and outgoing she is, as well as her flirtatiousness, which is a rather charming feature in and of itself. Alyssa tends to give off a great charm, most likely due to her stunning looks and 'personality' overall. She enjoys attracting attention to herself, both in and out of combat.
Alyssa holds a great deal of sadness within her that people probably don't notice just by surface appearance, longing for the good old days when she didn't have a care in the world and could do anything she wanted without consequence. Now though, her depression has started hitting her hard, the main focus of the corruption being the growing affliction in the form of the accelerated weight loss. She has had to convince herself that she is not anorexic and that she has to keep eating in order to stay functioning.
A way in which she deals with it, is her 'addiction' to drinking. In all honesty, she could stop at any time, the weight loss would rid her of the addictive chemical in alcohol and she'd be fine. However, she uses it as a form of release of stress and such, a way to remove all rational thought from her mind and let instinct take over. There is one slight problem with this however, she is very, very cheap, only wishing to spend money when absolutely necessary, hence her hesitance to go drinking by herself and instead invite a friend ti form then into paying for her.[/style][STYLE=color: #191919; font-size: 10px; margin-top: 10px; margin-left: 10px;]HISTORY[/style][STYLE= margin: 0px 10px 0px 10px; border: 2px solid #191919; padding: 2px; font-family: verdana; height: 125px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff; opacity: 0.8]The town of Slateport in the region of Hoenn was blessed that day, with a pair of beautiful baby girls, born to different families but sharing a connection far stronger than that of blood. From the moment the two laid eyes upon each other, there was no doubt that fate had been written for these two to have inter-twined fates, whether that was for better or for worse, that was to be seen. Their names were Alyssa Boyd and Amy Cunningham, one carrying blood red hair of the purest color and the other a fair blonde, crisp like the rays of sunshine striking the rocks on the shore.
Neither of them really ever felt alone after that moment, there was always some form of connection that the two of them felt. Well technically they were twins, just born of different parents, so to their childish minds, this connection was acceptable, commonplace even. The 9th October rolled by quickly, taking them into their sixth year. People around the Town were now praising them as twin deities or some sort of message from above. They were neither, just close friends that needed each other more than anyone else. This was especially true, when Alyssa's 'father' Linda tragically passed away, something Alyssa would regret a great deal to this very day. The fact that she had such a strong bond with Amy and they had spent so much time together, meant that Alyssa felt little to no remorse for her 'father's death, having spent no proper time with the woman in order to look up to her. It was this that caused her mother to become very abusive towards her daughter, eventually leading to her arrest and deportation to a mental facility in Kanto and Alyssa's subsequent raising by her grandmother.
It was there, under the tutelage of her grandmother, Alyssa and Amy both caught their first Pokemon, Alyssa's Aron staying with her even until now. The two bonded almost immediately, Aron attempting to copy it's trainer with the utmost precision, down to the bubbly and confident personality. It was in fact this Aron that taught Alyssa how to swim, a lesson she was very grateful to have learned later in life and eventually the two of them were comfortable to begin training for battle, Alyssa and Ake becoming rivals as their Pokemon struggled to best each other every time.
Several years of this passed, with Alyssa and Amy growing into ever more powerful trainers every day, eventually besting all other trainers in the small seaside town. At the age of 17, Amy found Alyssa resting on the water's edge, simply staring out into the sea. It was there Amy first told her best friend of the young man she had met that day, named Justin, who told her tales of the illustrious Elite Four and the fabled Champion sitting beyond them. At the time, Alyssa did not question how her friend had met this young man or why he had been here or what exactly he had told her, the promise of adventure proving too much for to say no to. They decided, next chance they got, that they would challenge all of the Gym Leaders and become one of the Elite Four.
After several years of hard-fought battles and expense, the two of them reached the pinnacle of their training career. It was time to face the Elite Four. Alyssa, being the stronger of the two trainers, made it the furthest, though in all the times she tried, was unable to defeat the last Elite Four member. Amy on the other hand, fell to the second Elite Four member and could not surpass them. After a while, Amy decided to give up the struggle, returning home with an empty hand and an empty heart. In one of her rare shows of determination however, Alyssa continued to fight, again and again being defeated by the last Elite Four member. Until eventually, she was offered the position.
The Elite Four she had been fighting all this time was ready to retire and he believed, without a trace of a doubt, that Alyssa was a worthy successor to his position. After a mass of paperwork and meetings and sleepless nights, eventually Alyssa was accepted into the position as the last Elite Four. Her eyes fluttered open for a second, flooding with light faster than they could handle, causing them to sting and her arm to instinctively cover and shade them. Letting out a small grunt of disapproval as Aggron shifted it's weight underneath her, Alyssa stared at the blank ceiling with tired eyes for a moment, taking in the utter... blandness of the cream-colored paint. Had she remembered to note down the number of those decorators? Her notebook would know but it was so far away, an expanse that stretched only about a meter suddenly felt like miles and miles of barren wastelands to be traversed only at the risk of the self. With half-closed eyes she grasped around on the wall to her left for the light switch, trying not to disturb Aggron's own sleep, as she knew how cranky the big hunk of metal got sometimes when he didn't get his eight square meals a day and 12 hours of constant sleep. Maybe it was just her influence acting on her friends but honestly Aggron could do whatever he wanted.
With a cry like a spoiled child, she flailed her arms in vain, attempting to lift herself from her bed/seat/huge metal beast without success. With a groan, her legs gave way and she was sent tumbling to the ground, into the bookcase on the far wall, the dusty old tomes and worn paperback romance novels that she never read, collapsing onto her crumpled body. A scowl of extreme annoyance, with just a tinge of pink in her cheeks from the embarrassment, crossed her motionless face. She didn't need this crap in the morning. It took her a moment of contemplation before she dared look at the clock on the wall, just to see if she was right. And lo and behold, she wasn't. 8PM huh? She couldn't shake the feeling that this was a bad time to be laying aroun-
She cursed loudly to the air, shoving her copies of The Aron, The Gothitelle and the Wardrobe and 50 Shades of Pikachu to the side, scrambling to her feet in a frenzy. Her outcry had awoken Aggron with a start, the iron-bodied Pokemon stretching it's stubby arms, before tucking them back in and resting it's head on the floor again, staring at Alyssa protectively as she tore off her pajamas while jamming a toothbrush roughly into her mouth. Fumbling as she attempted to pull on her socks, in her panic she fell to the floor again, struggling with the zip on her skirt. After getting dressed, throwing on her white hoodie without zipping it up, she decided against taking Metagross and Excadrill with her, instead grabbing Skarmory's pokeball and shoving open the light glass doors to the balcony, beckoning Aggron to join her. Before the two left, she checked the time, seeing that it was now 9PM with a 45 minute flight to where she had promised to meet her friend, she fumbled with the keys to lock the door to the balcony behind her, hopping onto Skarmory's back. It cried out it's warning to those around it, a determined expression on it's face as her wings thundered downwards, the updraft taking them high into the air with a single sweep. Not wanting to fall off, Alyssa clung tightly to Skarmory's neck, squeezing her eyes shut and gripping with her knees into the hard steel flanks, Aggron retreating into it's Pokeball and into Alyssa's pocket.
She gasped heavily as the wind was knocked out of her, the crashing sound of rushing air escaping from her ears in an instant caused them to pop and go numb for several seconds and the change in temperature she was sure was making frost appear in her hair. As Skarmory gained height and slowed, Alyssa felt her breath return to her slowly, stars spinning in her eyes as she focused her gaze on her companion's muscular neck in front of her. The sensation wasn't new to her but that was the first time it had been so powerful and violent. It seems Skarmory wasn't all too pleased about being woken from his slumber and began gaining altitude until Alyssa, if she was brave enough, could have reached up and touched the clouds themselves. The air was much thinner here however and Skarmory was forced to drop height in order for his trainer to not pass out.
It tucked it's wings in, spiraling into a dive as it broke the mists over the water, passing alongside the bridge to Driftveil, the dark structure dotted with fast moving lights and bathed in an eerie red glow. Skarmory let out a shriek, obviously enjoying the chance to fly after so long cooped up in the room, something that made Alyssa smile and attempt to pat her iron partner on the neck, a feat that she could not accomplish due to the pressure of the air pushing down on her. It responded with a sharp dip of the head, indicating that she should hold on tighter. Wrapping her arms around it's tense neck and bracing herself, the Skarmory shot downwards almost completely vertically, it's beak dipping into the water for a moment before it pulled up, it's body only inches from the water's surface. A small fish wriggled in Skarmory's beak, only about as large as Alyssa's fist. It seemed a waste of a meal really but before she could say anything, it had made it's journey into her companion's maw.
The deafening roar of a fog horn resounded beside them, neither of them noticing the huge cruise ship heading straight for their left flank. Skarmory tucked it's wings quickly, angling upwards, so that they went over the deck of the ship, rather crashing into the hull. Alyssa couldn't help but loose a wail of fear as they came so close to hitting the deck. The sailors on the boat, from what she could see were terrified at the sound of the shrieking banshee above them, frozen in their actions as the dynamic duo soared past them, heading for the nearest area of shoreline. Skarmory wasn't the one to repeat mistakes, so it sharpened it's eyesight so as to avoid another incident.
After that ordeal, Alyssa could have used a few drinks, incidentally that's why she had come out here in the first place. An old friend, an old very good friend, Amy Cunningham had invited her to a meeting at the cosy little bar called the The Bouffalant's Horns for a few drinks. It had been months since they had talked and her explanation as to why would be one to hear. She slid herself off of Skarmory, petting her on the side as she pressed the center button, recalling her steel-bodied and often steel-brained friend. She staggered towards the main pavement, her legs like jelly from the intense ride she had just had. Two large men in suits behind her guarding a door into a hall full of flashing lights and blasting music, though she wasn't quite sure, she caught a glimpse of a little fox-like figure skulking in the back alleys, most likely looking for food.
Everything with lit well here, it seemed safe enough on the main roads. But you were always aware of the looming dark of the alleyways every time your path crossed one, as if there was something unnaturally fearful watching you. A few times she bit back the idea to explore them, conscious of her time limit and how upset Amy could get if she was late. A rather scrawny-looking man across the road sent a wolf whistle her way, which she completely ignored, the drunk cackling as he shuffled his way home. It suddenly occurred to her that she had not zipped up her hoodie yet, the biting cold apparent to her in that moment as she pulled the zip shut and adjusted her totally useless tie as she walked, her legs slowly straightening as she neared the bar.
From the outside the place seemed like a conventional inn, traditional in style and patrons all in their middle-ages. She had visited this place several times before, though those times had been when she first visited Unova, which were not fun experiences. A memory flashed in her mind of the terrible hangover she had the night after. Hopefully Amy had enough self control nowadays to stop her getting like that. Bah, who was she kidding, Amy was as bad as here if given the chance.
She smirked as she pushed open the well-oiled door, which didn't creak or groan from the pressure, swinging inwards to reveal a brightly-lit, almost jam-picked collection of strangers, several sets of karaoke equipment piled up in a corner, gathering dust while a few of the more rowdy patrons released their urge to shake their booty on the modern-style dance floor, which just seemed out of place in such an old fashioned establishment. It was then she saw a familiar redhead sitting at the counter, drinking alone. Alyssa formulated a plan, a wide grin spreading across her face as she walked briskly but very quietly behind her old friend.
"Hellooo~ Amy-chaaan~!"
Without warning, Alyssa used both of her hands to clutch to a pair of objects very soft and squishy attached to Amy's chest, giving them a playful squeeze before letting go, cackling madly as she sat next to her red-headed friend, tears in her eyes from the laughter. After she had regained her composure, she said jokingly,
"Well those have certainly grown in size since I last seen you, haven't they?~ Next you'll be telling me you're pregnant or something."
And with that she was sent into another fit of laughter, tears freely streaming down her face now, her sides hurting from the sporadic convulsions called laughter. She struggled to catch her breath, hiding her face on the table and laughing into the crook of her elbow to calm herself. After a moment, she managed to pose a question to her, despite the incredible amount of pain she felt just speaking now thanks to that fit of laughter.
"So... so, how have things been with you, Amy-chan?"
