I dug my nails into the palms of my hands as my newly met Pikachu bit me on the arms, drawing out blood. I hadn't gotten the chance to bond with it considering the flight attendants required me to keep it in it's pokeball. This seemed to be an offset for the Pikachu. It dislike being in the plastic contraption. I smiled weakly as I used blood stained cloth to dab at my injury. It hurt more due to the cloth being covered in rubbing alcohol. Pikachu gave a sigh of defeat as it realized I wasn't going to back down as easily as it thought. I held up one finger for patience as I pulled out two pokeballs. "Skull, Puppet, say hello to your new friend!" Two level two pokemon popped out. A Duskull and Shuppet. They were both small and still considered babies. I looked at the Pikachu as it's eyes softened. Skull, the Duskull, gave a loud squeal of approval. Puppet, the Shuppet, not silently in agreement. The Shuppet child reached over and played with the tuft of messed up long fur on Pikachu's forehead. I smiled playfully. "Looks like that your name then! You'll be named Tuft!" Tuft gave a happy wail. It actually agreed with me for once! "Pikachu Pika Pika!" Tuft licked the spot where it had bitten me. It had a sour look on it's face from tasting the medicinal alcohol. It kept licking the wound though. I smiled, but it faltered as Skull was spun around by Puppet and got confused. It nervously let out a night shade attack, which was it's only offensive attack. It was was aimed for Tuft. I immediately pushed the Pikachu away. The attack wouldn't be very strong, but it would cause a bit of damage on a little rodent like pokemon, as in Tuft. It hit my shoulder, but I shook it off. "Dusk duskull, dus dusk!" <I'm sorry, really sorry!> I patted Duskull and Shuppet on the head. "You guys have had enough exercise for one day! Let's keep your pretty face unharmed for competitions!" I sent them back to their pokeballs right in the middle of Shuppet shunning Skull. I shook my head as I looked back to Tuft who was sitting and staring at me with huge eyes. It gave a satisfied squeal and climbed me like a tree. Being small, Pikachu got into my too big sweatshirt's too big center pocket. It sat in there cooing. I laughed. "How about we find a grass or water type to battle the gym leader here before snoozing off in my pockets?" I laughed as I walked into a patch of tall grass.

From somewhere else, a small Pokemon snoozed as the trainer spoke with her Pokemon. He seemed pretty content, a bubble shrinking and expanding with every inhale and exhale he gave. It didn't look like he was going to move anywhere anytime soon, until the sounds of the trainer and her Pokemon grew closer. The bubble popped as he got startled awake, and instantly the small Pokemon stood, wobbling a bit before finding his bearings and proceeding to walk towards the source of the sound. He was about to get closer, when suddenly the girl and Pokemon seemed to appear out of nowhere in the tall grass, the girl nearly stepping on his foot.

"Abra!" the little Pokemon cried in suprise, jumping back before the girl could step on his foot. He managed to scoot back far enough so she wouldn't do it again, before looking up at her with a rather frightened look. "Abra?" he asked rather cautiously.

I looked down to see an Abra hopping away in fright. It was such a cutie! Tuft leaped out of my pocket and skidded sideways on the ground. The red circular pouches on it cheeks started sparking with electricity. I looked at the Abra, ready for a battle. I about threw a pokeball when pikachu let out a loud yell. I looked down and scratched my chin, what was it saying? Oh! Tuft had just saved me from using up a pokeball! I had to weaken a pokemon before using a pokeball. I laughed and put the capsule away. "Pika pika pikachu pika." <Sorry about her, she my new trainer and non to smart. Let's battle though!> My pikachu back up a few paces and let out a big thunderbolt into the sky to show it was ready.
"Pikachu, use growl and follow up with thundershock!"

Battling? He really didn't like battling all that much. Battling hurt Pokemon, and it frightened him quite a lot. He usually went into hiding whenever he heard trainers fighting Pokemon near his home. It looked like he really didn't have much of a say so in this, however, as the trainer quite quickly ordered her Pokemon to attack.
The first attack came quite easily; so frightened, the little Abra forgot to move as the Pikachu growl at him. Shaking, the little Pokemon gave a cry and teleported just as the thundershock came striking down on him. He reappeared to the side of the Pikachu, looking quite shaken up.
He still wanted to defend himself, though, and, raising a fist, he tried to launch himself at the Pikachu, his fist turning into ice as he tried to use Ice Punch on the electric type.

The Abra came at Pikachu with an ice punch. I blinked in surprise. Abra could learn ice punch? That was surprising. I balled my hands into fists as the chilling punch came nearer. How was I going to weaken this pokemon if it could teleport away? I had an idea, it was risky for Tuft, btu I knew Tuft would do anything to win. "Stay put until the last second! At the last second use thunder shock on Abra as powerful as you can make it! Only when the fist makes contact!" I yelled to Tuft right as the punch was nearing the side of the small rodent pokemon's face. If Tuft let out a powerful enough shock, it could paralyze the Abra and stop it from teleporting. Plus, the punch was going to hit Tuft's cheek where it electricity is stored. It give a giant shock! "Pikachu, now!" The punch was a millimeter away from Tuft's cheek. "Pika--chuuuuu!!"

He had expected to miss the Pikachu entirely; not actually hit it. Of course, he hadn't expected the Pikachu to expel a thunder shock right when he hit, either. The Abra got shot back with a cry, barely managing to keep to his feet by stumbling, while sparks seemed to cover his body. The poor thing seemed to be inured, however, after a moment, the sparks went away. Shaking, the Abra finally seemed a little bit more calm again, albeit a bit hesitant with his next attack.
Finally, the Psychic type Pokemon launched forward with another Ice Punch towards the Pikahcu, although slower than before.

I cursed to myself as the Abra wasn't paralyzed, but it was weakened and slower. I waited as the Abra's Ice punch was even slower, but came forwards. I looked at Tuft, whose cheek a bit ruffed up, but the punch hadn't done much damage. I waited for my command until the Abra was half a meter away. "Now, jump over Abra! While in the air try to turn your body around." The small Pikachu listened and did a small flip of direction. It was now facing the back of Abra. "Quick! Use thunder shock, now!" I yelled as the Abra had just run to the spot where Tuft had previously been. "Pika--chuuuu!!!" Tuft let out an abnormally large thunder shock. All I though of this is that I wanted the Abra to be paralyzed.

The ABra was rather surprised as the Pikachu managed to dodge his attack, instead making him land face first onto the ground due to stumbling. He managed to spit out dirt as he got on all fours, and then stumbled onto his feet. He did so just as another thunder shock came plumiting down onto him. He gave a cry, and with a few more stumbles on his part, the little Pokemon fell to the ground, obviously exhausted. It looked like the poor thing had fainted, and it obviously wasn't getting back up anytime soon.

I quickly pulled out a pokeball. I kissed it for good luck and threw it. The pokeball was in the air when the red light came out and sucked up the pokemon I had gotten a victory out of. As I was staring at the pokeball, I heard a large noise. I turned to see Tuft laying on the ground giving out short and raspy breaths. I picked it up and rubbed it right behind the ears. I took my red flame patterned scarf off and wrapped Tuft in it. I sighed and gently placed him in my over-sized center pocket that was on my over-sized sweatshirt. I sighed and walked over to the pokeball. What am I supposed to do if it comes out? Tuft got way to exhausted jumped over it and getting that direct ice punch. It also used a lot of energy giving out the powerful thunder shocks. I sighed and sat. I was going to wait right next to the pokeball.

I grabbed the pokeball and stood. Tuft poked it's head out of my pocket. Our eyes wide with surprise. Tuft jumped out and unraveled the scarf. It threw in the air as we both jumped up. First pokemon we've ever caught. I spun around with the Pikachu and tossed the pokeball gracefully into the air. Abra, come play!""Pika pika!" Tuft and I let out a loud cheer together. The pokeball opened and out came my stunning Abra. I got out one bottle of potion which the professor had given me and sprayed half on Tuft and the other on Abra. Tuft pumped his little arms as if he had big muscles like a Machoke. Abra looked relieved to be healed, but suddenly looked around nervously when it realized it was out of it pokeball. I set it's pokeball on the ground, ready to get food for both pokemon, but Abra bent down and pressed the white center button and went back to the pokeball. I blinked and sighed. "Looks like it's just you and me looking for more pokemon." I looked at Tuft who stared at the pokeball in confusion. It was probably thinking why Abra would want to go back into the ball. I picked up the pokeball and attached it to the belt hidden under my large sweatshirt. I picked up my bag and Tuft jumped into my pocket. We waded through the grass until we walked up to a lake. "Look Tuft!"

Down by the lake, a little lapping of water started, slowly getting bigger and bigger, until it reached the end. Suddenly, a small Pokemon jumped out, and rather happily trotted on the land for a moment, before turning around in a confused manner. It looked around for a moment, before hoping over to a small mound of grass. It looked at it curiously, obviously not knowing what to do with it, before walking straight up to it and softly tapping on the ground by the grass's base. There was a pause, before the clump began to wiggle and move, and the dirt began to slide away. After a moment of digging, another Pokemon appeared , pulling itself out of the ground and slowly getting onto the top of the soil, taking a moment to sit and catch it's breath before standing as well.

The duo greeted each other like they were good friends, talking in their Pokemon language quite happily. They didn't seem to notice the trainer and her Pikachu coming up on them at all.

I looked down as I saw two little cuties. I about squealed, but calmly pulled Tuft out of my pocket. I let Abra out of his pokeball. I picked up the Abra. "First, I'm going to call you Tele because you love to teleport so much. Tele, I need you and Tuft, the Pikachu, to do a double battle with the Oddish and Poliwag, okay? I need you to battle the Oddish because Tuft doesn't do well against a grass type." I set Tele down and it stopped shivering to nod it's head. It walked over to Tuft and explained in their pokemon language. They both yelled across the area to the other two. "Pika! Pika Pika pikachu!" <Let's have a battle, hope you're not to scared!> Tuft seemed to be brave as it challenged the two pokemon. Tele looked worried for a moment, but nodded. "Ab, abra ab ab." <Yes, if you'd let us battle please.> I nodded my head as Tele let out a few squeaks. My pokemon got in position. "Tuft use tail whip followed up with thunder shock on Poliwag! Tele, use teleport and get behind Oddish, then use ice punch!" I yelled and the battle started.

A battle? The duo looked at each other for a moment, and they seemed tl talk it out, before both turned back to the two Pokemon and nodded quite happily towards them. They didn't often get into battles, nor did they train much, and it sounded like fun to do! These Pokemon seemed nice, too, so it would be alright. Both were already in a fighting position next to each other when the duo launched their attacks.
The Tail Whip seemed to catch the Poliwag off guard, making it shake it's head and sneeze a little as its dense was lowered. The Thundershock was a supper effective hit, and the Poliwag cried from the chock it was given. Obviously, it probably wouldn't last long with that Thunder Shock, especially since it seemed that the poor Poliwag was paralyzed. It moved much slower than it had been before as it first used Water Sport, lowering fire type attacks - as if the two opposing Pokemon knew it - before launching an array of bubbles towards the Pikachu.
Meanwhile, the Oddish was having troubles of it's own. Once the Abra disappeared, it was kind of hard to keep track of. The grass type stumbled around as it tried to see if it could find it, only to be hit square in the back, knocking it over and sending it sliding. It, too, seemed low on health, however it stumbled to it's feet as well, trying to keep fighting. The Oddish launched towards the Abra, trying to absorb some of it's energy so it hopefully wouldn't faint.

I looked at both of my pokemon as they hit the pokemon square on and now the Poliwag was partly paralyzed. I mentally cheered, but frowned when they started to attack back. "Tele! Get out of there! Teleport, now!" The Abra kept teleporting until it had done a full circle. It got behind the Oddish and use ice punch. I looked to Tuft. "Tuft! Use growl then thundershock! Make sure you hit it! You can do it!" Tuft was being pelted with bubble, but it seemed to have little affect on him. Although the power of the bubbles themselves had knocked him over. "Pika---chuuu!" Pikachu got up and started running towards Poliwag. Light came from it's cheek pouches as it came up and got close. It sent the thunder shock, ready for a hit. I looked back to Tele. What had happened?
