Eris walked out of her house with her black backpack and her gloves in her hands. She waved by to her mom who was about to leave to go battle some more. Eris admired her mother, she was a great Trainer. Eris put in one headphone and continued to walk towards the Lab. That was where her mom told her to go, in order to get her first Pokemon. As she walked, Eris put her gloves on. Eris stopped at the door and her hand on the door knob. She didn't know if she should go in. Yes she wanted to get her Pokemon, so she could have a bond with her own and not her dads or moms.
Eris shifted her bag and opened the door. She looked around and saw a person behind a counter. She wasn't sure if this was the person she had to go to. So she didn't go over to her yet. Eris looked around some more and couldn't find anywhere else she should go. She took a deep breath and walked over to the person. "Um... Hello. I would like to get my started Pokemon. Please." She asked the person. Some people knew who she was but most did not because they were not Trainers or anybody like that. Who would go to a gym.

It had been a rather slow day. The aid had been working on paperwork for the professor, and Starly sitting rather calmly on his head as he read over the paper work. A Shinx slept silently at his feet behind the desk, and it was sure he probably forgot of it from reading for so long. He was tempted to ask one of the older aids if he could go home already, when someone opened the door and walked on in.
"Um... Hello. I would like to get my started Pokemon. Please."
Oh, hello, um," he managed to stutter out, placing the pen he had been holding onto the desk as the Starly looked to the girl quizzically. The boy stumbled to his feet from the chair he had been sitting on, accidently stepping on the Shinx and making it cry out. "Um, Pokemon?" he repeated as the Shinx grumpily stumbled to the side of the desk and peered around to the girl. "D-do you know what Pokemon you want?" he managed to ask without messing up too much.

Eris watched the guy stumbled around and repeat things. Soon he stepped on the Pokemon behind the desk he was sitting at and when Eris heard the Pokemon cry she twitched and walked over to it. The Shinx looked at Eris then slowly backed away. That was the normal thing for it to do. Considering it didn't know her. She got up and looked back at the dude. "Um. Piplup If I could."
Eris loved water Pokemon. She would have asked for the Shinx but it did not seam to like her much so maybe she would have better luck with Piplup. "I like water types almost as much as Electric types." She said quietly. She keep looking at the Shinx though. She thought he was a cute Pokemon, and she liked them too.

"Piplup?" he repeated, this time not stumbling with the word. "Um, alright?"
Shuffling out from behind the desk, the Starly still on his head, the young aid scuttled to a nearby table to grab some things. The Shinx seemed uninterested, and thus pulled itself back behind the desk to perhaps go back to sleep. It took a few minutes for the aid, however he ended up coming back with a backpack with an assortment of items in them and a regular Pokeball that was enlarged. He then gestured it to the girl, however it took the Starly squawking at him and flapping it's wings for him to remember to speak.
"H-here's your starter pack and your s-starter, ma'am," he managed with a gulp. "H-hope you have a good journey."

Eris smiled when the person went behind the desk and got the stuff she was going to need. When he put the on the desk for her to take Eris couldn't help but smile. She took them and softly put them in her bag. Except the Poke ball. She keep that in her hand and switched it between her hands. She could not wait for the first time she would get to see her little Pokemon. Then she would go visit her dad at the Gym and get his opinion. "Thank you sir." She bowed to him before walking out of the Lab. She called her Pokemon out and when her Piplup came out she knelt down. "Hi. I'm Eris your new Trainer. What should I call you?" She asked nobody in particular.
