ELIZABETH JACKSON
After lunch was the best time to go and read a book, as Liz soon learned; a lot of the younger children were asleep, which meant that she wouldn't be pestered by them. And a lot of the ones her age or older either in the library or playing games or doing homework or something else. Usually children weren't allowed outside by them selves, none the less when it wasn't recess. But Liz didn't care; it was quiet, and today was a nice day; it was only partly cloudy, the sun burning down onto the ground. Summer was the best time of the year; it was usually nice, and rain fall was frequent, making mud afterwards, and during the storm, she got to read inside while others complained that they were bored. Ha, she showed them! Well not really, but still; at least she knew how to have more fun then they did.
After grabbing a book from the library, Liz snuck out onto the playground and climbing into one of the tubes that connected one of the play sets together. It hid her well from view of the orphanage, to where someone would have to come all the way outside in order to see her, however she was metaphorically nude when it came to someone coming into the orphanage. AH, well, not like anyone would care nor ask questions about her; she was fairly quiet when it came to hiding, and she would be surprised if someone still noticed her. She could act like a good kid, and stupid, too; although the workers at the orphanage by now knew the girl well enough that she knew much better than she put on. That was the sad thing; she couldn't act things anymore because the adults were onto her; which sucks, because she couldn't get away with things like she used to. What a bummer that was, eh?
Sitting back against the c-shaped wall, Liz opened the book and began reading; this time it was about dungeons and dragons, and form what the librarian said, it was supposed to be a good book. So she decided to check it out and start reading it. And if she didn't like it, than she could take it back, right? Nah, she would probably like it, seeing as how she liked that type of genre. Humming, she turned to the next page and kept on reading, wishing she could go to the swings so she could swing her feet around while reading.
