"Chomper"
"Dile"
"Umm, Rex."
"..Dile."
"Blue?"
"DILE!"
Matt laughed. He guessed his pokemon wasn't into simple names. They had been playing this game since leaving the Lab. He didn't want to call Totodile, well, Totodile and neither did...Totodile. Matt was trying his best to bounce ideas off the blue pokemon but all were rejected. He quickly found out dile meant no and that was all his pokemon had been saying for the past 20 minutes.
Totodile grumbled in his own language about the stupidity of the names. If he dare name him Blue there would be a fight on their hands. The cheery face of a Totodile already gone and they could still see the town. He hoped after this name business he could find a fight to cool off with. His jaw twitched and growled when he heard Matt laugh again. The urge to bite him was increasing.
"Now, now. Don't worry. I'll figure out better names."
"To." I hope.
Matt started to switch languages. Mixing in some German and French into the names. Typical names like Bod and Ben got him bit while German names like Feat got him grumbles. Another 10 minutes went by and he was left with holes in the bottom of his left pant leg and no name for his Pokemon. Both were in a sour mood at this point. Matt too angry to make wise decisions to save his leg from another bite while Totodile just could keep himself from hurting the boy.
"LARRY!" "DILE!" "SAKURA!.. OWW!! Really again with the biting?! I Was Kidding!" "TO!"
One could only hope something would appear to distract them from each other.

"Pidgey?"
Not too far away, a small Pokemon sat in one of the bushes, watching almost slightly confused at the sight beholding in front of it. She almost wanted to laugh; it seemed as if the Totodile and the human were having a spat about names. It was entertaining, seeing new trainers pass by with their Pokemon. It was a comic relief for her; mostly because she could never be caught by any trainers, nor had she yet been terribly defeated like a lot of her friends had in the previous days that had past. There weren't any terrible challenges, just a little fun here and there. Therefore, she decided that she'd have one now. Hopping out of the bushes, the Tiny Bird Pokemon hobbled over to the trainer and the Totodile with a slight bland face.

<"I dare say, what are you two bickering about?"> asked the Pidgey to the Totodile as she hobbled over, ignoring the trainer that was with him. <"You do know you are disturbing the peace, correct?">

The human growl and the pokemon snarl were hard at work. The two stopped moving completely locking eyes daring the other to move. Seeing who would act on this anger but neither thinking they were about to brawl it out. Though they wouldn’t mind pummeling each other but it wouldn’t be their decision. It would just be a convenient reaction.
The two wavered in their anger when the chirps of a Pidgey were heard. Totodile glanced to his left when she started to come up. Seemed she was talking to him and not the brat standing beside him. {YEAH?! Well blame him and his stupid ideas.} Totodile said as he turned his glaze from Matt to the Pidget. Matt tilted his head wondering where his challenge went and glare at the Pidgey for taking away his soon to be battle.
{I mean who wants to name a pokemon Ben?! He couldn’t be smar….}
Totodile stopped ranting and just stared at who he was talking to. It looked like he calmed down but he got a way to excited grin on his face. His normal Totodile personality show through as he bounced on his heels with a stupid grin and a glint in his eyes.
{Fight me.}
Matt looked at the change in his pokemon. He guess Totodile was over the whole name thing and it was a fun game too. He sighed as the tension between them became nonexistent. He hoped whatever they were talking about would interest him too.
“Blue, is this a friend of yours?” “Dile….To TODI!”
Matt chuckled when he got his pokemon riled up again. Totodile gave him a warning snort and turned back to Pidget with all the excitement he left with.
{How about it? You know you want to.}

Female Pidgey || Keen Eye || Lvl. 8TACKLE || SAND ATTACK
<"A battle?"> the Pidgey simply snorted. "<Well, I'll be honest, kid; I have more important things to do, but you look really easy, therefore I will accept your challenge. You are lucky someone like me came along to teach you a lesson or two about battling, ey, son?">
This Pidgey seemed really uptight about her self, and she really didn't care what others thought about her; she was a great battler, she knew, and she wasn't going to let this little begginer win in a battle against her. That would be an embaressment to her! And if she declined the challenge, what would everyone else think of her? Purposturous!
Although it was almost unfair, the Pidgey instantly took the first move; the Tiny Bird dodged backwards and, flapping her wings harshly, sent up a whirlwind of dirt and sand, hoping to either blind the Totodile or lower his accuracy. While he was still stunned - or not - the Pidgey dashed forward with a Tackle.

Totodile’s annoyance came back fast with her comment. Matt noticed as well when he heard Totodile growl. Did this mean a fight was going to break out. He would be happy if it did. It would be his first battle. He knew he could do this. He had been training pokemon for years. If anyone was going to win this it was going to be him.
“Are you ready to fight Totodile?!”
Ignored. Totodile didn’t even act like he heard him. The win he was so sure of just went down the toilet. He sighed and started to pull out his Pokedex as the fights started.
Totodile’s claws came up when the Pidgey started to move. He would show that bird a thing or two. Taking a step forward his eyes glowed as he performed leer…or at least tried too. He didn’t know if it worked or not but being hit with sand was kind of distracting. Next thing he knew he was thrown to the ground with tackle.
Mean while Matt was looking at Totodile’s moves. After that last hit he bet the pokemon would listen to him. He didn’t want his pokemon to take a beating but he couldn’t do anything if he wouldn’t listen to him.
“Totodile, now would be a good time for scratch.”
Matt said with a bored tone which he knew would get on his pokemon’s nerves. Totodile growled at the command as he rolled himself onto his feet quickly after that last hit. With watery and a bit blurry vision he ran forward and attempted scratch. Waving his arms in diagonal patterns to try and land a hit on what was now a blurry Pidgey.

Female Pidgey || Keen Eye || Lvl. 8TACKLE || SAND ATTACK
It was merely that the Pidgey was glad that the Sand Attack helped; although the Totodile had raised his arms to block the attack, he seemed slightly distracted by it, abling her to use her Tackle on the Big Jaws Pokemon. The trainer didn't seem to be having much luck either; the Totodile had ignored him at first, which which possibly prompted her attacks to actually his in the first place. However, she was being too proud in that she let her guard down long enough for the little Pokemon to use a Leer on her; frustration fumed, and she seemed not too happy that he had done something like that to her. She was about to squawk and leap forward with an attack, when, in her vicious spate, she got knocked backwards with the Totodile's Scratch.
She gave a slight groan as she stumbled up, back to her scrawny legs. She shook her head before she realized what she was doing, and shot a terrible "I Wish You Would Just Drop Dead Now" glance at the Totodile before, without much thought, launched forward with another Tackle.

Totodile smirked as he felt his attack hit. The small pokemon wanted to jump from joy. The only thing that stopped him is the thought of being hit by tackle again. He knew he could do it. He was just that amazing. He stood up straight pumping out his chest in triumph. Now that Totodile was listening Matt could enjoy the battle. He put away his little tool knowing the moves that were usable. He would have to remember to spend some quality time sparring his little pokemon to earn some respect. He didn’t need it getting hit to make it listen.
{You’re just mad a newbie landed a hit.}
Totodile wanted to laugh but was cut short when Matt reconized the movements as another attack.
“Quick! Ice Punch.”
Totodile spitfully listened. He would have done it himself if the annoying brat wouldn’t of yelled. He widened his base as he drew back his fist a blizzard from around it. It started to crystalize as it was brought forward with the full intention of punching the pokemon before it hit with tackle. He really didn’t want to be hit with that move again.
Matt started feeling that his pokemon's cockiness before he was actually winning would be more of a problem than him not listening.

Female Pidgey || Keen Eye || Lvl. 8TACKLE || SAND ATTACK
Instantly, the two Pokemon's bodies crashed like two trains on the same track; although she didn't know if the Totodile got hurt or not, the Pidgey knew that she did. One more attack would most likely do her in, and she wasn't even finished yet! How unfair! Feeling slightly colder temperature wise than she had earlier, the Pidgey shivered as she stumbled to her feet, shaking her head. She stumbled from side to side a bit as she regained her balance before looking at the Totodile with an evil stare. That last move was a super effective hit, meaning if he did that again, she would really be a goner. She was really starting to hate this kid.
With a squawk, the Pidgey flapped her wings heavily, sending out another Sand Attack towards the opponent hoping to lower his accuracy. Then, dashing forward, the Pidgey again tried for a Tackle, hoping that this time the Totodile wouldn't ruin it like he did last time.

Totodile saw his attack hit, felt his attack hit, but felt pressure that sent him sliding back. He had hit the tackling Pidgey with the punch but his short arms were too small to stop the rushing body from hitting him. They were three levels apart and the bird had gotten in one clean hit and an injury. For a higher level pokemon that could be nothing. To a pokemon who just left the lab it was trouble. Totodile shook his head trying to rid himself of his lack of energy.
Matt felt he was expecting too much of the little guy. He could be a fighter in words but that meant nothing when out on the battle field. He would have to train the guy later and see if he could get him to put more force in those punches. The push of his fist alone should have kept him safe from tackle but Totodile probably didn't use that move enough to have the strength to do that. He would just have to hope his pokemon could survive the next hit. As Pidgey started to flap his wings he called to his pokemon.
"Totodile start Ice Punch."
Totodile was currently guarding his face from the sand attack. He didn't want to be stupid and use leer again. When he heard the command the blizzard started to form around his fists again. They helped with some of the sand but no the majority of it. Cracking an eye he saw the tackle coming forward as the sand stopped swamping him. What did the brat want him to do with this? The sand had clouded his vision again. Twice in a row making the bird a blur.
"When you feel 'em hit 'em."
The words reached him seconds before the bird's feet started to hit his ears too. He didn't have to wait long as he felt the pressure of tackle starting and brought down his fist on top of the attacker. He hoped he could survive the hit and might even hit the bird before it back away.

Female Pidgey || Keen Eye || Lvl. 8TACKLE || SAND ATTACK
Oh kill joy. Just as the Pidgey managed to hit the Totodile with the force of the Tackle, the little mongrule hit her back with an Ice Punch. Instantly the bird went flailing back onto the ground, but this time she was unable to get up. Defeated by a rookie; she honestly didn't see this coming. She just hoped that the trainer wasn't here to take her away and do things to her like she heard of from other Pokemon that traveled with them; she didn't know what to believe anymore. The best she could so now was give up while she had a fighting chance.
Wild Pidgey was defeated! Totodile Gained 3 Levels! Catch or Leave? End Thread or Keep Going?
