APPERANCE: Albel is 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 141 pounds. He's underweight for his height, giving him a slightly emancipated look, however he is healthy and very muscular. Albel is pale, which is strange because he comes from such a sunny region. His long shaggy hair is two-toned, his hair grows brown, but fades to blond. He ties his long hair in twin rattails. It likes to cover Albel's eyes, which are a starling crimson, and are always narrowed in annoyance. He has a long narrow face with pointed features. His nose is narrow and pointed, as is his chin. Albel has thin lips, which you will see either frowning or smirking.
Albel likes to wear tight clothing over his wiry physique because....well, he just likes to show off. His favorite colors are purple and black, so he has many clothes in those colors. He also has a strange habit of wearing sarongs and thigh high socks. The gauntlet is just for photos. His left arm is covered in bandages due to an unfortunate accident in his childhood. He is never seen without his metal choker. He likes to keep his Pokeballs hidden in his sarong, or pants. Whichever he feels like wearing today.
PERSONALITY: Albel is cold and distant. He holds everyone in low regard. He is an extremely powerful trainer, second only to the Champion. He's cocky and confident, often taunting his opponents to fluster them and mess them up. He's disrespectful to the general populace, often calling them names and such, but only when they annoy them. Other than that, he leaves civilians alone. He loves to inspire fear wherever he goes. Despite that however, he has an honor system and never resorts to outright trickery or cheap shots when battling. He concedes to those who have beaten him gracefully. There are few who can earn the respect of Albel Nox.
He keeps to himself when traveling, trying to stay out of the ways of other people as much as possible. Albel is restless and easily bored, he needs a challenge to stay his calm and sweet self. Due to the lack of worthy challengers at EverGrande City, Albel has left his post to find challengers on his own. Even though he doesn't like it, he's always ready to rush back to EverGrande when the Champion needs him.
Albel cannot stand Team Magma and Team Aqua. What kind of cowards steal Pokemon from weak trainers? There are enough in the wild for everyone. And if there aren't, ask a Breeder, though Albel will never be caught dead asking for anything. Although, Albel likes crushing Aqua and Magma Grunts in his spare time.

RIBBONS: Albel would never be caught dead at a Contest.
HISTORY: Albel was born to Koko and Glou Nox in Lilycove City. Due to complications in the birth, Koko died shortly after. Glou raised Albel, who happened to be a rather difficult, if not adorable child. When he was 8 years old, he gave his father the slip while they were traveling to Mauville and explored Route 123. He was lucky that none of the wild Pokemon deemed him a threat, except for one.
His first Pokemon was a Poochyena that had chased him along Route 123. Albel ran and ran, but he got tired and fell on the soft mossy ground, crying for his father to save him. The Poochyena sniffed at him confusedly and tried to bite him, much to Albel's pain. The Poochyena ran away in fright when Albel yelled out in pain. The little boy continued to cry with desperation, loneliness and pain. Poochyena came out from it's hiding place in the tall grass and sniffed Albel again. Then it licked the sides of Albel's face. The boy stopped crying and looked at the now-yipping Pokemon. He patted the Pokemon's matted fur. It yipped again and cuddled up next to Albel. He hugged the Pokemon closer and they stayed that way until Glou found them.
After that, things went along smoothly for Albel. At 10, he received a Torchic from Professor Birch and, along with his Poochyena and Torchic, started his Pokemon Journey. Albel proved to be a natural at battling. Quickly, he won all eight gym badges and took on the Elite Four Challenge. He beat the first three easily, but had a harder time defeating the final member. Yet, he did it. He went up to the Champion, then Drake, and lost. To Albel's over inflated ego and overconfidence, this defeat was humiliating. He was 15 then, and he returned home to lick his wounds.
Remembering that his father was a strong Dragon-Type Trainer, Albel demanded that they go up to Meteor Falls to find a Bagon. Glou agreed, being unable to say no to his beloved son. They camped out at Meteor Falls for a few days, searching high and low for a strong Bagon. They stumbled upon a nest of Bagon eggs. Albel quickly took one, despite his father's protests and enraged Mama Salamence. Salamence spewed flames out of her mouth with the intent of neutralizing Albel. Glou shielded him with his own body and took the brunt of the flames, saving his beloved son. Albel exited Meteor Falls without his father, use of his left arm and his old self.
Ever since that day, Albel has been in the care of his father's best friend, Charles Woltar. Under Woltar, Albel became a much stronger trainer. He easily beat the new Hoenn gym leaders and even some gym leaders in other regions. As soon as he resettled, he received an invitation to become part of the Elite Four from none other than the man who defeated him years ago.
Albel accepted.
