❝ Which way is right, which way is wrong?
How do I say that I need to move on? ❞

Brittani was vaguely aware of the fact that the storm was calming down, the rumbles becoming shorter and quieter, but not yet fading completely. The sensation of not facing her constant fear alone was something new, an unexplored thing that was growing quickly on her. She stayed completely still, eyes shut tight, as the music played softly in her ears. Brittani clenched her teeth. The storm would be over soon, but for some reason, she didn't want it to be, in a sense. She wanted to stay where she was for a long time, just keeping her head on Noah's shoulder and breathing in his scent.
Another soft rumble was heard, and then the rain slowed to a drizzle after a few moments, signaling the thunder was long gone.
He was apologizing, and Brittani looked up, shaking her head. "Stop. I-I'm used to dealing with it myself. It's not your fault. I didn't want help." She paused, breathing deeply. "But... I-I think I like this better..." Before she could comprehend the situation, Noah was bending down and she almost thought that he was going to kiss her, her heart rate speeding, when he instead kissed her on the forehead. Her cheeks turned the shade of Noah's hair, and a small, wicked grin spread across her lips. She was still shaking, but it was now or never. If things got weird, he would leave in a few days anyway. She pulled the headphones off, and let them rest on her neck.
"You missed."
