She chewed the inside of her cheek as she looked at her Town Map, getting a sense of exactly where she was. "Hmm. Another half hour walk until I actually get into the city. Oh well." She gave a bit of a shrug as she started off down the road.
Today was yet another one of her days off, and she decided to use it to its fullest. Her orchard wasn't doing as well as it usually did, so she planned on stocking up on some ingredients in Jubilife. It always seemed the best place to find what she needed. "Shi shinx!" Artemis snapped out of her daze and looked at her feet, which Stella was standing on now. The little Shinx was growling low in her throat, staring off at the bushes to the right. Artemis peeked at the bushes, which shook slightly. The girl gave a bit of a squeak, take a few steps back. "G..Get ready, Stella." It was the times like these that she was glad to have her best friend beside her. Of course, she had Sora with her, too, but that little Chatot was still skiddish. A level 6 female Budew came passing through!
Ability;; Poison Point
Absorb || GrowthThere she was, casually minding her own business when a growling could be heard. What in the world was making that noise? She opened her eyes slightly and it was a Shinx staring her down. The Budew gulped and slowly began to step back until she felt a bush behind her... Oh no, what should she do? The little flower turned and dove into the bush. The Shinx seemed really angry at her... Why was the Pokemon angry? She hid in the leaves and waited. She really didn't want to be attacked... Being attacked was bad... She tried to hold her breath when she saw the trainer look over. Oh she had been caught! It wasn't like it mattered anyway... She hung her head. Any moment the trainer would call out and have the Shinx attack and she would be in a battle. Battles were no fun, they always hurt.
The little plant used growth, letting her roots sink into the ground. It felt nice, like a little burst of energy from mother nature. The Budew smiled and relaxed a little. Now she was all ready for the battle she was about to have.

It. Was. So. Cute! She was stuck in a rut, now. It would be great to train Stella, but the little Pokemon looked so scared. She fought with herself in her brain, trying to find out the right thing to do, when Stella made a little purring sound. Artemis looked down at her Shinx, biting the inside of her cheek. Stella looked ready for a fight, but Arty was still torn. "Stella..." She took a deep breath as sorrow filled her. At least if she could catch it, she could give it a good home. "Use Tackle on the Budew." Without any further instruction, Stella dug her paws into the ground and took off, closing her eyes as she got close to the tiny Pokemon.
Both trainer and Pokemon felt shame at what they were doing, but Stella wanted to be stronger to be able to protect the Ranch, and Arty needed more Pokemon for the Ranch. A level 6 female Budew came passing through!

Absorb || GrowthShe closed her eyes and waited. Maybe the trainer hadn't noticed her and there wasn't going to be a battle at all. The little bud let out a small sigh of relief, but it was short lived. Soon after the Shinx came flying through the bush, straight towards the little Pokemon. She squealed in fright as the impact sent her flying out of the greenery. She landed rather hard on the ground and winced in pain. It had been so long since she battled, she really didn't want to hurt anyone. The Budew stood up and started to make her way around the bush. She not only wanted to get a good look at the trainer, but also allow the trainer to call the shots. If they were behind a bush then that really wasn't fair.
The Pokemon stared at the trainer for a moment, not really thinking about anything. She then proceeded to turn towards the Shinx, it was her turn to attack. The Budew took in a deeo breath before letting the fury of her absorb head towards the enemy. Hopefully the attack would make her feel a little better... That was if it hit...

It looked so scared and hurt, and Arty's heart broke a little bit at the sight of it. Stella jumped back to Artemis, her feet planted firmly on the ground, until the little Budew started to attack. Stella's legs got wobbly, and she almost couldn't hold her ground. Arty couldn't bear to watch any more. "Stop it! That's enough!" She shouted as she ran to Stella, shielding her.
"We didn't want to hurt you. You scared us! As much as we scared you..." The little thing looked so fragile and frail. "Why don't you come with us? I can find you a nice home and feed you every day." She gave a gentle smile to the Pokemon, hoping that it worked. She hated to see Stella hurt.
