Alright, so we need some ideas to make this site more active! Post here any ideas, and we can chat about it as well. We want this site more active!

I was thinking maybe we could get a new layout? Unless you're really attached the the current one, then that's fine :3

Um. What if we had some sort of event? Like a festival or something?
Since there's trainers in different regions maybe the festival could be on an island and there could be a boat on each region that could take everyone to the island--that way it'd give people from different regions an opportunity to meet up? I don't know, that's all I can think of right now but I'll definitely keep thinking :3

And if we went with the festival thing then it could either be a sort of tournament for new trainers.
Or it could just be a festival, no pokemon battling involved whatsoever. Either way would work

And if you want a new layout I could easily whip one up.
I just made this one this week, so it could probably take me only a matter of a few days to have one made. If you wanted on, that is >.> xP

Well, i really would like a new layout. I have another one on here, although due to coding, it's hard to see stuff you've typed, so you might have to fix that. [I'll be honest, I might screw something up if I try to move coding.] And an event of some sort might be a good idea, although I would like it open to everyone to participate and make it fun. xD

If I made a new layout for the site, would it be okay if we got rid of the old ones? Because the new coding might interfere with the old coding.

I can make it on one of my test sites first and show it to you and then from there you can tell me whether you like it or not :3

Yeah me too, it's hard to think of something that could be fun and incorporate everyone, since we've got trainers in each region and all. I suppose if it came down to it, we could always post an announcement asking for the input of the members and see what sort of ideas they could come up with? Or if there's anything in particular that they'd like to see incorporated into the site?

Sure, just as long as it doesn't mess up the other coding. And yeah, we could always ask the members; that might make it a bit easier. I was thinking that maybe we could give away Pokemon during this event, like people battle them and can get them/receive items as well.

I'll show it to you on my Test site when I'm done so you can tell me whether you want to use it or not.

Oh, I was wondering if you could change it so that I can assign people membergroups too? All it lets me do right now is give them a custom title.
I figure it'd be easier so that I can accept people when you're not around :3

And I like the idea of giving away pokemon and items during the event. Maybe they could be semi-rare/uncommon pokemon and items so it'd be more of an incentive for people to participate.

Okay, so I was messing around with codes and whatnot and This is what I came up with for a layout. Does it look okay?

Is there anything you'd like me to add/subtract?

In the Helpful Links bar, I made the 'rules' part a little vague. Instead of linking to each individual set of rules I linked it to the board, The Guide, that has EVERYTHING listed. I figured it'd be easier for people to navigate to instead of clicking a ton of individual links :3

But yeah, tell me what you think and i'll change it if you think it needs changing, or it if doesn't I can stick it up ^^

now that I can see this, I'll post my two cents, lol.

I actually like the idea of one big get together kind of thing on an island, and the whole semi rare/uncommon thing. Have it as a general festival where trainers/breeders/etc can come and just have fun, maybe get some new pokemon, or battle with other trainers from their region or others for fun. Maybe even make it that the trainers can go back to where there originally from with a pokemon that maybe isn't found normally in their region. MAybe (just as a suggestion) find some that could have naturally evolved but been at a low level to give away (IE, enviroment conditions, low evolve level, natural exposure to stones).


Another even to maybe consider sometime in the future could be one where some of the more rare pokemon are given out like the eevee evolutions, ditto, etc... Maybe have it initially while we still have a lower number of members and all sort of as a "Thanks for helping us get it off the ground" kinda thing or something like that. Though, maybe also make sure there fairly active, so it wouldn't just be sitting around with a character that sees no real use. You could also hold other events, and then if there still active, they'd get another one, while newer active members are getting there first, sort of a reward for staying active in that sense.. being active=getting the pokemon that aren't given away often.

And, this will be something I would take a lot of time planning and figuring out. I know we have the ban on legendaries, and I know that if they weren't, there supposed to be one of a kind game wise and people would start fighting over who gets which, so on and so forth. But other then I do think some of these pokemon have to be able to breed since them living for eternity seems a little far fetched, you got groups like team rocket and all, I could maybe work something up that would allow them to be distributed on a extremely rare basis... I mean like, you are super active, helpful, I don't want to say staff cause well.. then we'd seem like jerks, but you get the idea... handed out on very rare occasions. I'm thinking maybe a cloning process or something would end up involved, but I'm going to say that if we went down this road (this of course is all your say so), that while more then one person could have them, they wouldn't be as super awesome as the original, maybe have an identifier like a slightly different color that denotes they aren't the original. It's a concept in it's infancy, I'll think up something more detailed at a later date.

Though while I'm here, one quick question on th staff pay, when it says 8,000 dollars, its like, 8000 on site to do with as we please right (was not expecting that much when I saw the board, lol)

Well, yeah, I was planning on doing something like that. Although with the Eevee evolutions or Ditto, I was thinking perhaps NPCs handing those out, and people getting those in Give Aways and . But if you can create an idea for that that revolves around it, or a good reason for those Pokemon to appear, that would be good. And yeah, people would get Pokemon that aren't normally for their regions, which would be nice.

Legendaries for the most part, may be involved in some minor plotting with evil teams, and some of them such as Rotom who are more commonly found and much more easy to catch might be distributed to those RPers who have a better experience and have shown that they can handle a Legendary like that. Where as, Giritina or Arceus probably wouldn't be distributed out, but would be involved in say a plot in the Sinnoh region.

And yes, that $8,000 is site money if you've done your job and finished your quotas and modded and such. And you may choose to keep it on your modding account, give it to a character, or what ever.I may lower the prices, however.

Yeah, giveaways and npcs work too, but lets take this event on the island for example.

Perhaps this Island is similar in nature to the safari zone. At least in the sense that is has pokemon you can't always find elsewhere, so perhaps it is designed to in a sense protect the endangered species. But they open it up every so often for trainers to catch a few, so as to not have an over population, and then it closes again for a bit, and so on and so forth to maintain a stable healthy population. Sorta like hunting seasons, cept no guns and death. But also maybe serves as a festival of sorts, like perhaps one section of the island has the endangered pokemon, and another has the ones that are uncommon or from different regions. But you could then have naturally bred and raised endangered types like the eevee evolutions.

That would then be reason to hold the event every so often so that your not just handing out the endangered pokemon left and right, but also so your not making it impossible to get one. Admittedly I've never done a pokemon site before, but sites where they have done npc deals, its been like an annoying wheres waldo, granted idk how you'd work it here. either way, we can do npcs, just got to figure out how we want to work it exactly <<

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Although we already have a few Safari Zones, we could have a larger one like you said with rare-ish Pokemon on it as well.
